they are collected in video games like Zelda and mario. When you smash a pot in zelda or bump a brick in mario the coins are downloaded to the account you have linked to your gaming system.

Thanks! I will watch that for sure. I was just unclear on how you purchase them or how you collect them?

Basically its digital money. There will be only 21 million coins in existence. Every transaction is recorded in a public ledger called the blockchain so there is no way to cheat the system. You can send any amount of money to anyone as easy as an email. Its hard to explain but once you understand its simple. With bitcoin there is no third party so there are no fees when sending money. Which is why neweggs bitcoin black friday deals had xbox ones for $329 if paying with bitcoin. You should watch the documentary The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin.

My advice is too keep an eye out price is dropping fast. Pick some coin up because long term investment many think it will be astronomical Silicon Valley VC thinks it will be 100k per coin in the future.

I'm not talking about investing, more purchasing. Notice some sites were only taking bitcoin payment now. Was wondering how safe it was.

I know I missed the opportunity of a lifetime 8 years ago when my buddy told me to invest when they were mere pennies (literally). He cashed in awhile back at over 1.5 million. After only spending a couple hundred. I didn't understand them and didn't take the time.

    They're simply a virtual currency.
