Yeah, I've seen parts of that documentary. I need to watch the whole thing. Do you know if there is any in even 480p if not HD? Watching in 240p is painful lol..

Scrum, if you do the challenge, can you go back and edit the post you quoted? I'm just curious what others are reading! I'm going to edit my original post to keep track of mine.

Someone sent me that article yesterday. It's so true, and I tell my children that ALL the time. Reading makes you smarter - in all subjects!

I liked it. Quick read. It brought up some unique situations/challenges that a human would have on Mars. It is pretty nerdy though. The author admits to being a physics/space nerd and it shows, he did his homework for sure. I got it on google play for 5.99 and I think it was worth it. I tried the free sample and was pretty much engrossed in it, so I had to buy it.

Been on a bit of an Alistair MacLean kick lately. Damn, the guy could write!

                          11. The Guns of Navarone
                          12. Force 10 from Navarone
                          13. Ice Station Zebra

Bit behind the curve now. I should be on book 16. Hope I can catch up! :)

Went on a bit of a classics streak. Haven't read some of these in 25 years.

                              14. Oliver Twist - Dickens
                              15. Pickwick Papers - Dickens
                              16. The Count of Monte Cristo - Dumas
                              17. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes - Conan DOyle
                              18. Robinson Crusoe - Defoe
                              19. Tom Brown's Schooldays - Hughes
                              20. Treasure Island - Stevenson
                              21. Kidnapped - Stevenson

                              Back to the 20th Century:

                              22. The Remains of the Day - Ishiguro
                              23. Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee - Dee Brown
                              24. Foundation - Asimov
                              25. The Rest of the Robots - Asimov
                              26. Great Plains - Ian Frazier
                              27. Wild Coast - John Gimlette
                              28. The Aye Aye and I - Gerald Durrell

I am still about 8 books behind. Getting a bit nervous about not being able to make up. Gotta get my act together here.

Stayed up till 2am last night reading "Right of Thirst" by Frank Huyler.

Great, great book with fantastic character development.

The protagonist is a middle aged cardiologist who is trying to deal with the death of his wife. He decides to take some time off volunteering at a refugee camp somewhere in Asia. The book explores how he rediscovers himself in the process.

A must-read in my opinion. Endlessly introspective with haunting prose. Highly recommended. 5 Stars!
