I liked it. Quick read. It brought up some unique situations/challenges that a human would have on Mars. It is pretty nerdy though. The author admits to being a physics/space nerd and it shows, he did his homework for sure. I got it on google play for 5.99 and I think it was worth it. I tried the free sample and was pretty much engrossed in it, so I had to buy it.Originally posted by FitnessBrat View PostHow was it? I need a good sci-fi for one of my challenges.

Went on a bit of a classics streak. Haven't read some of these in 25 years.
14. Oliver Twist - Dickens
15. Pickwick Papers - Dickens
16. The Count of Monte Cristo - Dumas
17. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes - Conan DOyle
18. Robinson Crusoe - Defoe
19. Tom Brown's Schooldays - Hughes
20. Treasure Island - Stevenson
21. Kidnapped - Stevenson
Back to the 20th Century:
22. The Remains of the Day - Ishiguro
23. Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee - Dee Brown
24. Foundation - Asimov
25. The Rest of the Robots - Asimov
26. Great Plains - Ian Frazier

I am still about 8 books behind. Getting a bit nervous about not being able to make up. Gotta get my act together here.

Stayed up till 2am last night reading "Right of Thirst" by Frank Huyler.
Great, great book with fantastic character development.
The protagonist is a middle aged cardiologist who is trying to deal with the death of his wife. He decides to take some time off volunteering at a refugee camp somewhere in Asia. The book explores how he rediscovers himself in the process.
A must-read in my opinion. Endlessly introspective with haunting prose. Highly recommended. 5 Stars!
