Wow, bioS3 nailed it with his video on this the other day. He listed the same reasons boiling it down to "easier to be with is easier to be with."

A couple weeks ago I was complaining to my wife about my gut cause during bulking I got up to 15% bf. It was bothering me because I'm typically around 12% so I said I want to mini cut to get back to 10-12% and try to stay around there. She told me she likes me with a little belly. Threw me for a loop and pissed me off a bit. Made me feel like she was never happy with how I looked before. I told her tough shit the belly is going to be gone :P

The attraction to the dad bod is a real thing for some women I guess.

your theory isn't wrong per say it just ignores a major point. When you're in great shape and attractive your going to have many more options of women who are "your type". you have a bigger pool of options.

Regardless of what kind of shape we are in, we all have types. Do you think you'd be looking at fat girls even if you weren't lean and muscular? We all have a huge pool of women to pick from but do you think you are every girls type? I know you think so but you are not. Some of them will not give you a second look because you are not her type period.
So again...if a girl is talking to you in a flirtatious way because you are her type other wise you'll get the treatment of a gas station attendant. She'll be cordial and that's it.

So to say "girls dont give a shit how you look" just isn't correct. attraction is a very real thing. if you look like shit your going to attract shit in most cases. obviously money and other aspects can come into play and you'll see a slob with a beautiful woman but I guarantee that beautiful woman is not physically attracted to that slob. the woman may be attratcted to his money or his personality etc.. but she is not physically attracted.

There are many reason why a beautiful woman would be with someone who isn't pleasing to the eye. They don't want to compete with their man, they dont want their man getting more looks then they do etc.. But those woman aren't fantasizing about that man. They love him for many reasons but it's not the guy they talk to their friends about and say dayum!
