I'm having a difficult time following the argument.

I'm fine with putting all of the blame on the individuals that made the choices to harm or kill other human beings. I don't find comfort in blaming an inanimate object. The fighting will always exist, the offensive and defensive tools will change.

Why is it that anytime that someone makes a decision that is a crime, the solution talked about is a new law? I get guns are a galvanizing point, primarily because most people are ignorant of them, but why is the solution a gun law? Why isn't the solution the investigation and eradication of multiple national and international criminal enterprises that engage in everything from child prostitution, to counterfeiting and everything in between.
