Lots of issues; breathing, skin, hips. Short life; less than 10 year average.

Boston terriers are cool little buggers. Good health. 10-15 year life span. Great personality and trainability.

Boston's are great dogs I have a senior boston who is 11. He is a lil guy but is boss to my corso you see in my profile pic. If your keen on a bulldog bouncer give French bull dogs a look little power houses right there.

Nah not a Boston type. My grandfather had one. To much of a little dog personality. I'll probably go with another Boxer or American Bulldog then.

Get the BBD they're great, just make sure you see it with its parents. Don't buy one where the parents have issues

              Simple

Ha, I assume you mean that figuratively.

Have you watch the dogs 101 video on animal planet about the British bulldog? If not, check it out. I think it will give you some good info. There are a lot of good videos on there about different breeds.

Best breed. No dog lives forever, might as well get what you love.

My concern is that I'll always compare to a boxer to my current boy who in my mind is the best dog ever.

You'll get over it bro. Your love for him will always be there but the next one will fill your life with years of happiness as well.

My current boxer doesn't compare to my first one. Most likely because I didn't have kids then and he was my entire life. But my current one is awesome too and I will always love the breed.

Talked to a few more people about the bulldog. They just arent cutout for the hot California climate so thats out.

I'm now looking at a miniature bull terrier. I want something a little different, something that stands out from the norm. The more I look at a miniature bull terrier the more I like them.

Size difference between standard and miniature.
