Sounds very similar to one of the guys I work with. His fix was a chiropractor. Said lack of movement in two of his vertebrae began a fusion causing nerve pinching. He had to do 3 visits per week for a month then a month of 1 visit per week. From there on just one readjustment every 6 months. He says it was the best money he's ever spent. Not a permenant fix because he was starting to get degeneration but he doesn't have the pain like before and rarely gets the feeling down his arm like before.

I know traditional medicine doesn't go with chiropractic practices much but it worked really well for him. I should note that the first week he didn't feel any better, almost worse before it got better. But once they loosened him all up and the cracking started he felt tons of relief. Worth a shot.
Edit: nvm I missed the spot you said you tried that. Curious how many visits you had though.

Damn B..Ive had that same thing going behind my left shoulder and all the way down my left arm to my pinky finger for years.. I was told mine is from carrying so much weight for years in the ruck sacks. Drs said the muscles shifted or some bullshit which pushes on the nerve and causes the pain. I guess over the years they just stayed that way. Of coure the VA denies the claim saying it cant be proven because MRI and x ray shows no deformity so I cant get a little 10% disability claim added:retard:... Fuckers..:rofl:

Deep tissue massage helped me but not nearly as much as when the PT performed Graston Therapy. It's kind of like deep tissue but with the use of metal tools that effectively get in between muscle fibers and scar tissue. To look at the tools you would think it's medieval and painful but it's not at all. Very effective. I highly recommend finding a clinic that utilizes it.

The Graston Technique®*incorporates an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively detect and treat scar tissue and restrictions that affect normal function.

              The Technique:

Separates and breaks down collagen cross-links, and splays and stretches connective tissue and muscle fibers. Increases skin temperature. Facilitates reflex changes in the chronic muscle holding pattern. Alters spinal reflex activity (facilitated segment). Increases the rate and amount of blood flow to and from the area. Increases cellular activity in the region, including fibroblasts and mast cells. Increases histamine response secondary to mast cell activity.

Fortunately, because of their specific shapes they're very effective with little pressure. You feel like the muscles and surrounding fascia are bruised the next day but it's nothing like the beating I've taken with some deep tissue massage.
