Look, cops don't know how to deescalate situations. This has been shown time and time again. They don't have the training, we don't have the right kind of individuals, whatever. We have a serious problem in this country of cops escalating even simple situations until, in their minds, lethal force is necessary. Maybe we attract sociopaths to be cops. Maybe we don't give the right kind of training to them, but the bottom line is that over and over again, we have this situation that plays out the same way - someone gets stopped, cop feels disrespected, cop goes nuts on the person. Doesn't matter if they are guilty of something real, or just guilty of talking back to the cop. Open your eyes and look. It's all around you.

I maintain that cops have no business enforcing discipline in schools. They don't have the training to do it. They only tool they seem to be capable of using is a hammer, and to a guy with a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

School resource officer is just a fancy name. What training, I would like to ask, did he get to do conflict resolution with minors? Or if he did get some training, did he use it here? With his WWE move? Come on!

Man, he's a cop, a job where he has to deal with difficult people all day. If he can't control his temper and take any lip that comes his way, he shouldn't be a cop. Period. Resign. Go do something else. Nobody forced you to be a cop.

How would you of handled it? By speaking to her like a little princess, caressing her hand, etc....for fucks sake...many many many many people/students said that many many many many of her peers asked her to get off the phone. Respect the fucking law and perhaps the law would respect you. It's all fine and dandy until someone gets hurt. What if the student had a knife, gun, etc...hits the cop and knocks his ass out...then what??? He could possibly get fired or worse if he had not done his job right.
