        • I had an MRA with contrast done a couple weeks ago. Yesterday I met with my neurologist to review the test. He was extremely pleased with how it healed. He said that there is slight narrowing of the artery in my neck (which may open up more over time) but nothing at all to be concerned with. Basically said to go live life. When I questioned him if I have any limitations he said to just be smart. lol He said he's seen hundreds of people with the same type of injury and only 3 have had it happen again. All 3 of them had a hereditary tissue diseases. His main concern was lifting max weights in the gym. If I was to have this disease, lifting very heavy would most likely cause it to happen again. He also said to be smart when playing soccer. I’m definitely going to start playing soccer again. And I really don’t think it will change how I play. I’m a very physical defensive player. I will have collisions every game. But I do think I will stay away from extremely heavy weight. Nothing ever below 6 reps. I’m ok with that. It will probably prevent me from tearing a pec of bicep down the road. lol

Yea good shit, "lifting extremely heavy" doesn't do shit but fuck anyone up anyway. 8-12 rep range IMO is perfect. Glad you healthy bro.

agreed...however it does feel good when you can lift THAT much bro, but im guilty of this myself...now i work around injuries due to many years of lifting heavy and beating myself into the ground.

now i still lift strong, just NOT that heavy as i have in the past

How does this help chadd? Guys saying he can't do that anymore and your talking about how great it feels to do it. Lol.

Hell let's go lift heavy as fuck in front of Ronnie while we're at it and tell him how good it feels.

                    • It does feel good to lift heavy at times. I will agree that statement. I almost think it may just be an ego thing. The older I get the easier that has become. :D

                        • Chadd don't get obsessed with lifting intense too quick or find reasons I anything anyone says here to cheat a proper recovery.

You are bodybuilding in the most fundamental way by recovering that artery that you need last you a lifetime.

I'm terms of any training you should be stopping before failure and breathing comfortable and limited blood pressure

I have been approaching the gym in a smart way for the last 3 months. I have yet lifted to failure and have not picked up a dumbbell heavier than 75lbs. One thing I have been doing (not even sure this helps lol) is when performing a pushing or pulling motion instead of breathing out I breath in. It helps me stay away from “squeezing”. The squeezing is what makes the artery expand. I’ll be smart but at the same time I’m going to live my life.

                            • It's hard to understand your English at times chadd lol "I have yet lifted to failure" I presume this.means you have not yet lifted to failure.

                              That's good.

I would breathe in the normal way as it also assists with posture which is all part of the healthy mind to body connection
Just keep light as you say
