  • My TV has hot spot marks

So the past few days I've noticed these dark areas around the corner, almost as if someone touched the screen and never wiped it.

Not happy since I've had it for 2yrs now and who the fuck buys those warranties? Not this guy, and if i had, probably wouldn't be covered.

After more research, I end up realizing it was my gaming that did it. I'm gonna put this tv for now at my loft since I won't be there much. But definitely wanna get rid of the spots.

You tech wizs, help a nigg out :D

Now it's time to buy another tv:)

    It's a Samsung Smart LED 50"....

Basically means you play games for such a long period that a static image has burnt into your set. LoL. Consider not playing for 12 hours straight. :D

What game are you playing that the corner images never change? Or is this a case of just leaving your ps4 on and walking away for hours?

I have the same TV, but 41 inch, for about 1.5 years. Not something to brag about, but I'm sure I play more than you and it includes those same games. Plus my kids play as well.

So it may just be something about that specific TV, your set up or something else that caused it.

Not sure I understand why gaming should cause burn-in. Usually it happens when you have static parts of the screen, like the stock ticker bar at the bottom of some TV channels, etc., or watching lots of letterboxed content.

Is there something like that in the games you play?

Yes. How many bullets you have in a little box in a corner type thing.

Not trying to be an ass but, it's from the gaming, no question. My setup had been same from the very first day. I just asked if someone could/would know a way to fix?

And I'm sure your tv gets more gaming. Probably one of those tvs were they just go to shit faster than others, I get it.

And now that I think about it, this is a first.

Why? You'll go with Samsung from best buy regardless. Never mind what the reviews or tech sites say. Samsung for life yay! QV for life yay!

Didn't mean it isn't from gaming. I just thought you were saying the tv sucks and was giving you my experience with the brand.

good point, but I'm asking for advice on fixing the issue, not a new tv
                            ...oyyyy

I'm Samsung for life so I know they have an amazing product. Of all the devices I've ever had, tvs, phones, tablets, etc....this is the first time I've had a defective issue being my fault. I run tech into the ground, I really do. I go through quite a few devices at times. I know there several ways to get it fixed, just thought maybe someone has experienced same and solved it.

Just frustrated right now with this shit. I like to have very good clear stuff on tv, especially when I'm going rogue:D

I think there is a way. Something like leaving your TV on with a bright white image for a day or 2. Basically evens out the burn in effect.
