Unless you are a 1%-er, prepare to be disappointed. Guy has already said he's going to drop taxes for the upper income brackets (trickle down economics lol) and drop corporate taxes? You know what happens? Deficits will balloon and GOP Congress will do the only thing they know to do - cut SS, Medicare, unemployment benefits etc. Basically sock it to the little guy. Meanwhile Trump and his buds will be laughing all the way to the bank.

We spend $610B per year on defense. More than the next 7 countries combined. And these turds want to spend more to help out their buddies in the mil industry and in wall Street. And make more enemies in the middle East.

We have more than enough money. Just 1% of what we spend for defense is $6B, more than enough to pay college tuition for every student in the country. We are just spending it on the wrong things. Less blowing things up, more building things.

I am in the 1% category and I will gladly pay more to see some of Bernie's ideas implemented. It will make this country a better place.

bam, lmg, and rado, i'll tell ya one thing you wont like about trump. he's all about making tech companies share our info with gov. much more so than they already do. he will be very quick to say "oh you must be hiding something if you don't want to share with the gov. keep this in mind guys. he's already displayed this attitude with the apple case. basically if you dont want the government to know all your secrets he'll label you a criminal or terrorist. something to think about for those of us who aren't criminals in reality but could be seen as such by a finger pointing gov all about the "war on drugs"...

trump is very black and white. this can be an attribute when it comes to getting things done such as a building project or new rail system for example. but it can also be a negative in that it usually means someone who is quick to make a judgment even if it isn't agreed upon. when it comes to steroids I can see trump simply labeling us the enemy and throwing away the key without truly understand or even thinking about it.

I'm over all these fools. Libertarian convention is this weekend and there is like 18 candidates going for the ticket. Libertarian will be the only other party on all 50 states ballots and if they get polling to 15%, which is at 11% right now, they get to make the debates with the other two clowns.

What do you pay for others to have? Roads? Police and fire departments? K-12 public schools? We should get rid of all those "socialist programs"?? And like Scrumhalf said, the amount of money WE pay for the military can be cut a little and used for other things.

We are the richest country in the world. There's more than enough money. The notion that we don't have money to pay for taking care of our seniors and sick people, our veterans, or to fix our roads and bridges and infrastructure, is simply a lie. We are spending our money on the wrong things.

Do you guys know that the top income tax rate for the rich guys (in full disclosure, I am in the top tax bracket) is FAR FAR lower than it was in the 50s, in the days of Eisenhower? Another GOP President? The rate then was over 50% if I remmember. Now it is what, 37%? Combine that with the insane amount of money we spend on our military, and it's no wonder our infrastructure is falling apart, and we can't seem to have enough money to educate our kids and have a sensible health plan.

If they restore the top tax bracket to what it used to be, I will gladly pay it if we can cut the BS spending on military hardware and use that money to do some good in this country.

Don't view Bernie as some weird socialist guys.. look at what the hell these other pols have done. They have cut tax rates for the rich while simultaneously cutting benefits largely for the poor. Don't get fooled.

According to Sanders website his college plan costs 75 billion a year not 6 billion. Nothing would piss me off more than watching these entitled kids get something for free that I had to work my ass off for. I paid my debt off, it is called being an adult, growing up and learning responsibility. Learning about return on investment is something a lot of people lack.

Simple fact is unfunded liabilities in this country exceed 100 TRILLION dollars. Yes trillion with a T. Nobody on the Democrat or Republican side is talking about fixing that. We can't keep going backwards forever, Rome will collapse. Taking money from one debt pocket to another debt pocket doesn't fix the DEBT POCKETS.

Take an actual look at the numbers. The math isn't hunky dory. http://www.usdebtclock.org
