Cincinati Zoo gorilla shot dead

Here is some local news on the matter. The zoo defends it's reaction and says it would still have made the same decision today. The man that raised and trained the gorilla also says it was the right call. Cincinnati zoo will not press charges against the family.

It is obvious to me a lot of people here don't have kids, boys especially. You turn your head for two seconds and the little suicidal fuckers are running across traffic. This is nothing new. Another thing that is not new is people being judgmental, back seat quarterbacking without having been there. What is new is people wanting reactions on social media.

A person that was there called the a radio station this morning and said the mom ran after the kid to grab him before he made it in but didn't get there in time. It could have happened to any of us. Boys are fucking impossible to keep 100% in control unless you put a fucking leash on them.

If she can't watch six kids she should have stopped at five.

We have way more kids on this planet than needed, and far too few gorillas.

If the kid had drank poison or walked in front of a bus no one would be defending the mom.

Her negligence resulted in the death of an endangered animal.

It isn't negligence. It was a kid being a dumb kid. Experts, physiologists, etc have weighed in on the matter. The only people calling for the moms head is social media arm chair quarterbacks that weren't there.

1 person can't control 6 kids at the zoo. Her fault. Should have someone else helping her and if she can't afford help she shouldn't have 6 kids. Disagree 100% Chuck. Gorilla would still be alive if she had less kids or had proper supervision.

You all were just angels as kids and never ran off to do dumb shit the second your parents turned their heads. Give me a break. A lot of you are in for a rude awakening if you ever become parents. So by this logic let's go ahead and lock up every parent when a kid goes to the hospital with any injury of any kind. Kid jumped off a wall and broke his arm? String up the parents for being negligent! Get real.

Missing the point Chuck. It's the parents responsibility to think ahead and say "maybe I better not take 6 fucken kids that I have a hard time controlling out and about." Kids do dumb shit, we agree with you. We don't take issue with the kid. We take issue with a parent not being able to control 6 kids and not being responsible about how she goes about taking them places.

Of shed crossed the street and one of the kids got hit or some other misshapen due to her inability to control 6, that would be the focus her.
