  • Torn shoulder ligament

Had my xrays and ultra sound done today and it appears I have a torn lig at the top of my shoulder. I cant remember the name of it but it runs from the shoulder blade down to your bicep head. Hopefully I can get a copy to show you guys. It literally looks like a hole with a 3cm diameter. The lig has ripped off the bone at one point and their is a bunch of calcium build up where the bone has tried to heal itself.

I think this must have happened a while ago and slowly torn more because I have had it for a few years but never as much pain as last 6 months which is about the time I decided to take a break.

Just goes to show, dont push to hard trying to lift heavy etc. This is from trying to do heavy bench for years.

Hopefully they can fix it up. I havent seen the specialist yet but the ultra sound guy says they can stitch it to help it heal quicker but sometmes they can do more damgage than good. Will have to wait and see what specialist says.

Absolutley no training allowed. Funny thing is , I have had all kinds of surgery for broken bones, lung surgey etc and never flinched. As soon as this guy told me I couldnt train and pointed at the hole on the screen I literally nearly passed out, got all sweaty and dizzy and had to lay down so I wouldnt fall over

It will be mentally tough to not be in the gym but I'm guessing there is still some activity you can do right? Light cardio / legs? I'm in the same boat but have been as creative as I can to stay somewhat active. Sorry to hear about it and hope you heal up soon.

Sorry to hear that redback. Is if the AC joint? Best of luck healing up.

At least you can do legs, cardio, and maybe lightly train the side that isn't injured. Do some maintenance workouts and isolation

Have you considered tb500 or bpc 157 to help speed you healing post surgery?

bpc-157 imo doesn't do much but tb-500 is the real deal.

Juries out on bpc for me. Heard a lot of good but still trying to sift through what is legit reviews and what is just shills pushing the stuff. Thats why I like to follow reviews like yours cause I know they are unbiased.

Used it for 2 months, no effect. Used tb-500 for 2 months and had pain relief within 5 days. Problem is, soon as you come off the issue returned. If tb-500 was cheaper I'd never come off.

Who knows but if pain is 90% gone that's a pretty big deal.

Damn Red, hope it all goes well for you. I've done something to my shoulder a couple weeks ago getting out of bed. Heard a pop and it has been causing pain ever since but only while pressing. Not debilitating but definitely present. Mine feels right on the backside. I haven't touched chest or shoulders for a week now. If mine isn't better after two more weeks I'll be going to the doctor myself.

It's an area densely populated with tendons etc around shoulders and regular pressing movements can leave it tight. Probably nothing major if it was just getting out of bed but rest from pressing is definitely key for a while
