Looking at the men's 100m relay track and field. Those Jamaicans, other than bolt, have some awfully round delts compared to everyone else competing... And they always win and break the records. They be on androgens.

Did anyone see the NBC film yesterday on Marta and Bela Karolyi? Simply amazing people. They started with nothing and built a dynasty as the head of the US Womens Olympic team. I highly recommend you watch it if you can find it again. Just brilliant.

On that basis you win the argument:thumb::thumb::thumb:

It's merely a more proportionate geographical comparison. I want no part of the EU and we are already showing how tough we are without it despite the scaremongerors.

I think it's fair to say that if we had the population you have we would be competing for the lead. But as things stand im proud

Because you take care of your athletes very well. It's commendable.

But when you say no other country comes close, recognise that my country would probably fit within one of your states!

Your population is probably in the order of 5 times that of mine and at this point you have less than twice the golds we have.

Lbs for lb were pretty successful along with Jamaica and others.

Definitely big props to the USA though they are a bit to watch

Rich country, great grass roots development system, lots of money spent on sports development. Add the large population (greater talent pool) and you have all the ingredients of success.
