Lasik Eye Surgery

Reading up close is fine? Had an eye test yesterday and I asked about lasik. They said if you have distance issue or just reading up close the surgery can only fix one or the other.

Lol... Secret Service Uniform Division requires 20/20 vision. I was denied because of glasses. If I land the gig it'll be cool. I'll have a full scope polygraph security clearance with a job starting at $60K a year. Federal Law Enforcement Officer that requires me to carry my gun all the time even on vacations and when I'm off duty. Not bad right? Abs will always be there under the fur coat lol

I thought all the Secret Service guys were ex special forces types? They don't let in guys off the street, do they? No offense Dana, but I'd be more comfortable with you behind a bank counter than wandering the streets with a concealed weapon!

No sir. Uniform Division (UD) are the guys that hang around the white house. Either sitting in blacked out SUV's across the street or being in a empty building across the street.

UD requires a high school diploma, must be able to pass the get a security clearance, pass the physical, and pass basic.

I prepped one of my clients for counter sniper earlier this year.

Personal trainer. I just started my own company this year.

I live near Fort Meade and I train majority of the military guys/girls that need to get back into shape for PT tests.

Everything to diet and workout regiments.

So I had this surgery done yesterday. First I'll say that it was way more uncomfortable then I expected. Not so much pain wise but having the pressure on your eyeball from them putting things in your eye socket to keep your eye open. Then they cut almost a full circle and pull the clear layer of your eye back and you go blind for a bit. It was weird not knowing if my eye was open or closed. Then you finally see this blinking light and you have to keep your eyeball still and aligned with this light. That was kinda hard to do. But once all that is done the laser only lasts about 20 seconds. Then you can smell the burning smell of you cornea.... It really takes so mental focus!

So yesterday after the procedure I slept most of the day. Today my vision is a little cloudy but they said that is normal and will take a couple days for everything to clear up. I will say that I'm super impressed with how clear my left (bad eye) is now! That eye has never had clear vision and to be able to actually ready with it is pretty awesome.

The one thing I am unhappy with right now is, they made my right eye which is my dominant eye better for distance so anything up close my right eye is blurry. So I have to shut my right eye to see anything up close clearly. But they said once my brain get used to taking information from both eyes everything should be perfect and the eyes will work together. We shall see!
