My point being that to understand how or why someone or something (in this case a country) acts the way they do you must understand their past.

It's only natural that this country acts aggressively and defensively. The very bases of who that country is, the very foundation of what we call Israel today was forged out of WW2 and the Holocaust.

Thier very existence in much of the world was in serious doubt only 80 something years ago. This is not a very long time in terms of history and the impact that it has today. That country does not and will not ever think like you or Mr I.

Its easy today to say "oh the Holocaust excuse". While I agree that it is an excuse that people seem to use to justify bad behavior by Israel, it's also a legitimate one in terms of understanding Israel. The shit they went through and the scale it happened on has never been seen in human history. 80 years is nothing. The mindset has been forged.
