Sexual identity is DNA not mental state. X and Y chromosomes do not care what you think you are.

Let's come back to this thread in 5 years and see who's right and who's wrong.

you don't think a disconnect between what you are physically and what your brain "thinks" you are is a mental condition?

if my brain told me i was a kangaroo despite the obvious physical proof that i'm not would that also be considered perfectly normal by the medical community?

Next thing we will be hearing is how we should tolerate and accept pedophioles "because they are born that way it's not their fault they are sexually attracted to children".

FUCK THAT! it is a mental illness and to think you are the opposite of your birth sex is such a horrible body dismorphia that it is also a mental illness, which is backed up by the 41% suicide attempt rate of transgenders regardless of pre or post op. Being homosexual is acceptable in my book but thinking you are something you're not is a problem with reality.

You'll see that in 5 years, pretty much all the developed world will be there is they are not mostly there already. I'm not the extremist, I'm the humanist that is ahead of his time. :)

I'm well left of center, no question. I consider that a badge of honor. :)

His world. The extreme left. Just like ripper is extreme right. This is why I am the person to listen to on these matters because I'm right in the middle. No bias like scrum the extremist. :D

i think school should be a place of learning, interacting with peers, and growing up. i don't see the importance or need for this. where does it stop? is an adult male teacher who identifies as a woman allowed to go into the bathroom with a little 10 year old girl? you dismiss the safety issue but I think that's a bit ignorant of you to be honest. do you completely deny that someone could take advantage of a situation like that? What are the rules? Does the man have to dress like a woman and wear makeup or can he wear work boots and jeans with a flannel shirt and say "yea I identify as a woman". What's the guidelines here?

i think kids should be allowed to be kids. i'm mixed on the adult issue but i'm firm with my belief it has no place in schools.
