Of course that's silly. Nobody is advocating a gender-free sports competition. It's a difficult issue. But it cuts both ways. Right now in Texas, there is a transgender high school boy in the news (born a girl, transitioning to a guy). He wants to compete in wrestling as a boy but rules force him to compete as a girl. He's going through testosterone treatment, so it is understandable that his female competitors are crying foul. But the rules forbid him to compete against boys. So, the problem isn't as clearcut as saying that this is going to allow boys to compete in the girls' divisions.

I think it is safe to say that we don't have a good procedure for this. Maybe there will be some kind of criterion based on test levels in the blood? Not sure.

if connor mcgregor says he identifies as a woman can he fight against other women fighters? what are the rules scrum? do we say the bathroom thing is ok but the clear advantage a man has over a woman strength and speed wise makes it not ok for them to compete in the same sport? what are the guidelines here? Where is the line in the sand?

Another example. If Usain Bolt or Phelps decided they identified more as women should they be able to compete against women in their particular sport? In your mind would it be discrimination if they were not allowed to compete against women? I'm genuinely interested in your answer.
