Maybe habitable bro but they are outside our solar system meaning we have no way of getting there in any reasonable amount of time.

Neptune for example took Voyager 2 12 years to get to travelling well over 30,000mph.

Neptune is much much closer then the planets they are going to announce tomorrow. So while maybe habitable we cannot get humans there with current tech. We need to be able to travel much much faster than currently possible.

It's exciting news regardless but we need a major breakthrough in speed technology to ever reach those planets if they are indeed habitable.

its almost certain. people don't grasp just how big it really is. we have observed galaxies 13 billion light years away with the hubble telescope. that means traveling at the speed of light (186,000 miles per SECOND) it would take 13 billion years to get there.

He never said there wasn't bro. Listen to it carefully. He's saying as of right now the only life we know of for certain is Earth. He's not saying there isn't life out there. Just that we haven't been able to find it yet. His message being that we need to take extra special care of our 1 home in the universe.
