From what I've seen Rich knew his health was at a bad level but in reality how much would he have given up to actually improve his health? I seen he was changing his eating habits a little but hell I don't believe that would have helped much.

Yea he was pretty much on a rice only diet with 1 piece of chicken with his last meal of the day. He must have gotten some bad news from the doc. Probably kidney issues thus he cut the protein. If not a heart attack his kidneys probably would have failed.
