Your allowing the argument of gun control into a attack that was not caused by gun.cumo specifically stated assault guns and more gun control are needed to stop terrorist attacks like this from happening again. He used a fucking truck...he had a paint gun and a pallet gun...that shows anyone with half a brain...the gun laws worked as that's all he could get. But then the governor wants to talk about more gun laws and assault weapon bans...pure political bullshit

you completely misunderstood what i was saying. i'm saying it was a gun that stopped the situation. they call the cop a hero but don't acknowledge the tool that hero used to stop the situation.

in other words, the gun in this situation is a hero. it prevented possible further attack.

i'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of Cumo calling the cop a hero while not acknowledging the gun that allowed that cop to be the hero.

instead he tries flip the script and somehow make guns bad in this situation.

Just imo, It's specially rigged act of terrorism. Trump promised to low expenses of anti-terroristic program up to 50%, now he will not do it. They plays with big money and 8 deads are nothing for them.

            PS same story 9.11

this why a lottery program is a terrible idea. people need to be able to succeed not come here only to become disillusioned.

Bouncer, the lottery program has been around for 27 years. Literally thousands upon thousands of people have taken advantage of it and built good lives. You latch on 1 guy who went astray and want the whole program removed? That doesn't make any sense.

On the other hand, you say that the act of 1 crazy guy in Vegas should not be any reason to gut the 2A.

                You need to be consistent.

A more direct comparison to banning guns is to ban trucks because that's what the killer used. Ridiculous. I am being consistent. Your mixing up the argument because you can't see past a bias. You hate guns and you admit "you know nothing about them". It's a bias bro, regardless of what your willing to admit to yourself.

Do you know how many legal gun owners commit zero crimes everyday? Millions upon millions. Yet you want them gone because you see some news stories and buy into the fear machine.

The real issue in both cases is mental health.

I am in no way defending that piece of shit Vegas shooter fyi.

I'm just saying these people come over can't speak English and it's not a recipe for success for a large number of them. There must be a better way.

What bias? I am talking about using a blanket action to address the act of 1 person. The DV program has benefited countless people who have come here to do well for themselves as well as enrich the nation. Why throw it away because of 1 guy? That does not make any sense. That is biased?

The gun bias you brought up.

I just think the people coming here should be better prepared. In the case of this guy. He spoke zero English when he got here.

Lots of people have come here without knowing a lick of English and done just fine. Heck, your grear-grandpappy from Italy probably didn't know any English either when he hopped off the boat.

Again, my point is that you don't cancel a good program because one guy out of many thousands of people went astray

By the way, I think Trump and McCain should keep their mouths shut. Trump is saying the guy should get the death penalty and that our justice system moves too slowly, in other words, hell with due process, just string him up. McCain wants the guy sent to Gitmo, 6th Amendment be damned.

If I were this guy's lawyer, I would call for a mistrial. I would claim that the president of the US and a leading senator have prejudiced the process and there's no way my client can get a fair trial. Mark my words, the words of these guys will come back to haunt them.

I hear ya scrum but it's a different time now brother. People didn't do the kind of shit they do now. And I include the Vegas shooter in with that. We have to have some sort of better way at handling these mental cases. You can't tell me there weren't signs with the Vegas shooter or the nyc guy.

I don't think scrum would fight for the guy to be released. He's just saying Trump and McCain have potentially given this guy an out with their stupid comments.

Regardless, this guy will absolutely not be released and I disagree with scrum. As stupid as Trump and McCain comments are, they wont come back to haunt anything. This guy is a terrorist and the US gov will punish this POS for the rest of his life in one way or another. The Vegas shooter was at least smart enough to kill himself. He knew his life would be made a living hell. Terrorist aren't treated like normal prisoners. Pretty sure they are kept in solitary and subjected to all kinds of mental warfare that isn't standard for the average prisoner.
