Yeh the macks are rubbish. We are gonna chase some big snapper in a few weeks. Go-pro is a great idea.

I just looked up mack tuna for austrailia..those are what we call Bonita..yea..bloody bastards...LOL shit for eating.Im guessing your big Spanish or something I see looks just like our kings we were catching. These are great broiled, grilled or smoked. but I don't like it fried..

They aren't the same..but pretty damn close. Here's a few more shots. I bet the same way we target ours would work on yours and Visa versa...

This is our Spanish mackrel. Notice the dorsal is black...also lateral line don't drop down hard like a king. They don't get much bigger then this one... Great eating

Yeh we usually just go out jigging for slimies or yakkas and then head out. We also use a downrigger.

Yes but here in Georgia in order to get into good water for them we have to get to the gulf stream..your talking 80 to 100 miles offshore. Makes for a very long day. We do occasionally get on one here and there closer in..but that's where to go if targeting them
