Haha. The American dream is alive for very few people. You are pretty much destined to remain in the socioeconomic class of your parents. If you were born rich you are going to die rich. If you were born poor you will die poor. Social mobility up or down the economic strata is rare.

False. I suggest you read the book Millionaire Mind by Dr. Thomas Stanley. He has the most comprehensive interview of millionaires in the country. Over 1000 questionnaires sent. By far the vast majority are self-made. Usually when someone gets money from their parents and they don't know how to use it they blow it and end up broke just like people that win the lottery. I believe it was over 80% are self-made usually small business owners. I'll have to open the book and find the exact number but it was staggering.
See, you have been taken to the cleaners by the rich guys. Yes, you may have a few more dollars in your pocket but the top bracket has far more as a percentage. They are throwing you a biscuit to distract you while they are robbing you blind.
And real wages have stagnated. Corporations loved their tax cut but have given all the money to shareholders, not to workers.
This stuff is all objectively true. I'm not making it up. The tax cut massively favored the 1% and corporations and screwed the lower income folks.

Maybe you didn't get what I said so I'll say it clearly again. I do not care what other people make, it is their business. I don't care if someone's a f****** trillionaire and I'm not. Why do you care what other people make?

These are articles based on data published in peer-reviewed journals. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of other peer-reviewed journal articles that state the same sentiment.
I don't care what others make. The problem I have is when a tax cut is made to disproportionally benefit the rich people (who coincidentally have all the power, surprise surprise) instead of the poor ones.
Full disclosure. I'm in the 1% and I think I'm getting away with murder in terms of taxes I can pay or afford to pay.

Its compassion. I'm middle-class. Scrum is either middle-class or upper-class. No matter how the economy turns we will very likely still have gainful employment. Its caring for disadvantaged people that makes economically secure individuals care about the overall good of our country.
Sixty-seven percent of high-net-worth Americans are self-made millionaires, according to the survey. Only 8 percent inherited their wealth. One third of the millionaires surveyed were women and half of them made their own fortunes.
The report by Chicago-based BMO bank was based on a survey of 482 American adults with at least $1 million in investable assets
It's like in the Army, you are only as strong as your weakest soldier. The Trumpians don't care if we are week as a whole. They only care about themselves being rich.

Then donate to charity. Stop trying to take other people's money.

I don't care about what the BMO bank says. Unless it was peer-reviewed data published in an academic journal I do not believe it.
And it's not hard to invest enough money when we are young to be a millionaire when we are old. I started investing in a 403B and a 457 when I was in my late 20s.

So what's the problem then? You live in a country that gives you the chance to become a millionaire. You just said it yourself.
So is the American dream dead or isn't it? Your talking out of both sides of your face you mother fucken communist turd! Lol
