Meanwhile, we have lawmakers that just gave tax cuts to billionaires and to trillion dollars corporations who promptly did stock buybacks. Dow goes up because the vultures there are only interested on earnings per share numbers, while real wages are actually lower now, and maroons all over think how wonderful everything is.

Meanwhile we have a gigantic ballooning budget deficit. Guess what the next step is? Yes, what McConnell and co have been having wet dreams about for years. Cut social security and Medicare/Medicaid.

Not sure what a lot of you have against Ocasio-Cortez. I thought you guys were for draining the swamp. You have fossils in both parties that have been in DC for decades, lining their pockets from vested lobbying interests. Along comes a young energetic person with fresh ideas, not taken a single penny from any corporate interests, ready to shake up the establishment and shame them into doing something good, and all you guys do is shit on her. So maybe you didn't really want to drain the swamp after all? I don't get you guys sometimes.

Jack, she's progressive, so just set that aside for a bit. You're either on the left like me and love her ideas, or maybe on the right and don't.

But people are making her out to be ignorant, which she is clearly not. She is pretty well aligned with Bernie' s message which is really not at all left vs right. It's about bottom vs top. About how the 1% us robbing this country blind. Wealth inequity is at an unprecedented level, with the latest tax cuts going mainly to the rich. People cone back at this, claiming they got 1K or 2 K back on taxes which may be true, but that's the bone the rich people threw in their direction to distract them, while the 1% make off with multimillion dollar tax breaks.

The progressive message is that whether you are Republican or Democrat, the working class is getting screwed and we need to fix that. A progressive tax structure that lowers taxes foe the working class while increasing it for the millionaires and billionaires, getting out of wars all over the globe that actually have increased, not decreased, our safety, universal healthcare so that people are not one serious illness away from bankruptcy, making megarich corporations pay a living wage, these are not left vs right issues. They are lower/middle class vs. uber-rich issues.
