No, never been to Paso Robles. But Monterey is awesome. Definitely do a whaling trip. Seeing humpback whales up close is amazing. Tahoe is great too. Definitely, do that if you have a chance. Have you driven up to the Redwoods? Look up Avenue of the Giants. Wikipedia has info. I recommend the Founder's Grove. You look at the humpbacks and the 1000 year old trees and you'll feel sick at human filth for destroying this planet.

No, I think it's a bit further north and west, like maybe a 4 hour drive for you. Have fun in Monterey. Call around and make sure the whales are there. Summer and fall are humpback season.

Yea it won't be for a month or 2. We'll go when it's one of those 100 plus degree days here. Gotta be much cooler on the Pacific in Monterey
