Yeah, Costco is a good place to shop... We also have BJ's, which is the same thing, bulk items.. I'm not sure who's cheaper, then again with the amounts you get anyway, it doesn't matter.. :)

                Congratulations.

You made it through unscathed, a little challenged, yet unscathed.
In the end you made all the right moves, and that is what counts.

It'll be easier the next time.

I love Costco....I got a sheet cake there that could feed like 100 people for $12. I didn't really need a giant cake and it took me the better part of a day to eat it all but it was goooooooood.

Oh by the way I'm blaming Costco for making me a fat slob. I think I'll sue.

Sana-been shopping there for about 5 years now.

Couple of things to check out-flank steak, great price, very lean and tough to find in the supermarkets all the time. The chicken breasts are the best going. Compare them to supermarket ones and you'll find a lot less fat on Costco ones, less trimming, etc.

Buy the gallon jug of Bertolli extra virgin olive oil, won't go bad and is a great price-I use it to make my salads and stuff.

They might also have from time to time the seafood kiosk-the shrimp and Alaskan king crab legs are a very good value.

The canned Phillips backfin crab meat is a little pricey but worth it-makes a great crabmeat salad.

And the Bumblebee tuna water packed six cans- is a really good price too.

Don't you all laugh at me. I've been food shopping and cooking for the last twenty years for the family. You get to know this stuff.

Buy the Dentyne Ice Artic Chill gum- it really helps take the edge off.

And make sure you eat BEFORE you go shopping.

                          :D

                          Good Luck.

YES YES YES - i need to eat before i go :)

and morgan - i don't have enough pantry space to buy some of the thing in bulk like the gallon of olive oil. but - i do go through enough chicken and beef that it really is worth my while to shop there for my groceries - it's close - so no need to "stock up" when i go.

That's it? Slacker. I'm usually good for $350.00+ especially with detergents and personal care stuff (conditioner, skin cream, etc.)

And that's like about every ten days. Time to put the brakes on feeding the kids again, LOL
