  • irritable bowel syndrome

so after about a year of testing the doctors couldn't find anything wrong with me (i've had stomach issues most of my life). so today i got my final results and my doc told me i have IBS which i believe is just a diagnosis they give you when they don't know what's fucking wrong with you.

my question is, does anyone have this problem? now that i know i'm stuck with this problem, i'll have to change my diet completely. i'm hearing stay away from whole wheat and red meat and a bunch of other shit i eat on a daily basis like broccoli, possibly dairy, and other fruits and veggies.

if someone has IBS of you know someone that has it, let me know how you keep a good diet while still benefiting from the gym

Well there are various ways you can have IBS. I have it but what mine is caused from is stress, anxiety, and my intestines spasm which is worsened by the other two. I am actually on medication for it.

In my case this was the only thing left that it could be after tons of tests and three different doctors. I still don't think it is fully what is wrong, but after taking the meds it has definitely gotten so much better.

As far as diet thought, just don't eat shit foods. I eat pretty much anything and I notice things that bother it at times are dairy products.

no such thing as IBS without stress and anxiety. one is caused by the other.

Not true. It's caused by a malfunction in the nerves and muscles in the abdomen. Stress and anxiety can make it worse, but at times is not the cause of it. I'm a perfect example of it. I have actually had this for years. When i'm calm it would get bad, hence why i'm on meds for it. Some times foods can even be a cause of it, especially ones you are allergic to.

Talk to your doc about spasms. See if that could be the case.

There's no definitive test for some digestive issues...

I would try gluten-free and possibly casein free... basically go to health food store or grocery section with these items. theres a lot of food you can eat.

stick with it if it works it wont be fixed overnite it takes a few weeks.
