  • Is this a good protein shake?

Guys, I found this recipe for a protein shake which claims to provide about 60g protein (or a bit more) per shake. The basic recipe is 0.5-1 pint of milk, 1 whole egg, 1 french style yoghurt (fruit flavour), and 25g whey powder... There are many additional extras one can add, the only one i am considering is 1 whole banana.

    Now my questions are these:

Is this a good recipe for a high protein shake?

Can someone recommend me a non-puking good functioning whey powder in the UK?

Is there going to be a problem of salmonella poisoning from the eggs? The guy that gives the recipe recommends using free range... will this make a difference?

When should I be drinking this shake in relation to my workouts and on days that i am not working out....

    Thanks for reading!!!!

How much protien is in the way powder for the 25g? As far as samenila, I couldn't tell you about the UK since I've never been there but I know it's not a big problem where I'm at.

well, I can't imagine much of it comes from the other ingredients, so probably most from the 25g whey????

But is it possible for 25g whey to provide nearly 60g protein?????

      Boy, I am confused

I'm guessing (i'd have to see the product) that that's 25 of protien so you would need two scoops of what ever it is.Then the egg and other stuff may give you around 10g of protien.
