  • GATORADE..........while training?

Anyone feel that drinking a gatorade while training is beneficial? Could someone explain the reasoning behind this.

Fancy word for sodium? Maybe you should read up on the efficacy and definition of eletrolytes then, before you give advice.

If you're cutting, I would hold off on the Gatorade due to the insulin response of the simple sugars inhibiting lipolysis. If you're bulking, drop some protein power in it and sip it during your workout, thats a good idea.

I learned that is what it was when I was getting certified. Is it wrong?

I use 1/2C dextrose, about 75g, post workout right now. Im wondering if the gatorade would just get them simple carbs in as fast as possible and have your body utilize it while training, but Im thinking whether or not to drop the post workout dextrose to like 50g.

Pre workout nutrition is just as important as post, IMO. If you are sipping some type carb rich drink during your workout, you can cut down the total carbs youre having post workout.

I tend to drink a shit load of water while training. I cant see myself just sipping on anything. Im trying to keep BF low while bulking, what do you suggest for pre--workout?

If you want to maintain a low BF, 'lean bulk' try a lower GI carb source like oats pre and post workout. Ive been doing it for a few months now and love it.

I would recommend ICE by xtreme formulations, its a BCAA mix that tastes great and is designed to be taken during workouts.

yellow, how are you eating your oats? how much. I have done this in the past and liked the results also. I usually tend to use about 8 splenda packets per cup of oats. I also put a bunch of cinnamin in too.

I use Gatorade post workout in my shake. I was told the simple sugars help with glycogen recovery? Yellow, is this correct?

I pre-cook a couple bowls each week and put about 1/3 cup in my post workout shake. I also have about 1/3 cup pre workout.

Correct. A lot of people will use Gatorade powder as their post workout carb source.
