  • favorite fish?

I've been eating salmon daily for awhile now and it's been breaking the bank. What's everyone's favorite fish around here? I'm looking to add something new for a protein/fat meal. Thanks all.

Raw ahi tuna steaks are my favorite - followed by swordfish/snapper/flounder etc...

As for stuff from Sam's/Costco etc OrangeRoughy is probably their best choice but it's fairly expensive (almost like salmon if not more so) - tilapia fairs pretty well and is cheap but canned tuna/chicken will be your best bet as far as pricing goes....

You can't go wrong with a nice flank steak though if you're really looking for a nice change in your diet!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was eye-balling the canned salmon but I was wondering if it's overprocessed or if it's comparable to the frozen filets. I think I read somewhere that the fat profiles aren't as good but I might just be making that up.

Tuna seared rare, or raw in sushi/sashimi

I really like Orange Roughy because it doesn't smell 'fishy'

And (this is the Pole in me coming out) I will occasionally eat pickled herring.

I'm sure that there's an overwhelming smell of 'kapusta' in the house from time to time too.
