    Little Background...

    30
    5'11
    241lbs
    about 20%

on 500mg Test E in week 3 (40mg dbol ED for another week), it's my first real cycle

I'm not eating enough I don't think, but I'd like to get a little leaner as I bulk, which I know is damn near impossible. My goal for the cycle is to be a big as possible and end at about 16% or so...lower would be great, but I'm not expecting miracles. I've always had trouble staying lean, but it's been easier to get big.

    The diet.

    7am
2 scoops ON whey with water and 2/3 cup oats.

    10am
chicken/pork (i measure in gm, but it works out to 50g protein)
    1/2 cup br rice

    1pm
    chicken/pork
    veggies

    4pm
    2 scoops ON
    30g complex carb powder

    Workout.

    PWO shake
    2 scoops ON
    30g complex carb powder

    7pm
    chicken/steak
veggies w/ 2 tbs olive oil.

Ya, not eating enough calories. Change it to 1 cup of oats in the morning. 1 cup brown rice in meal 2. Add a carb source in meal 3. add 1 more meal after the 7pm meal. cottage cheese or some other slow digesting food.

all your doing with that diet is slowing down your metabolism and robbing your self of some nice gains on the cycle.

      cool...thanks.

Does it matter if the oats are cooked or not?

yeah, it's not very tasty but it gets the job done. To be honest, it's the only meal of the day that I hate. That big pile of mush at the bottom of the cup is nasty.

would adding a banana be too much simple sugars? I find that it keeps the oats suspended in the water better....

i dont find that to be the case at all. oats still sit just the same for me. i use the whole oats. banana in the morning would be fine.

So i just got my pre cycle blood work back and I have a question...

My fasting glucose levels are 6.8 (where the top end of normal is >6). I've got diabetes in my family history all over the place and this number puts me at risk. I'm not horribly fat, 20% or so, but I do carry most of my fat around my middle.

Is there any way for me to reverse my insulin resitance? I already eat a low glycemic diet.

Also, I got my free test levels, which were 34 (where normal is 24-90). Am I right in thinking that this is a little low for a 30 y.o.?

do you take a multi? Chromium is supposed to help with insulin levels. have also read that fish oil can help.

as far as the test levels, i am not sure what is up with docs these days or what numbers they are using but 24-90 is not from any scale i have ever seen. normal numbers are 250ng/dl - 750ng/dl

the measurement of test is in pmol/l and for the life of me I can't figure out how to convert it to ng/dl

I take a multi and fish oil already.

Cheers for all the help bro.

                          Or insulin resistant people?

I am a type 1 diabetic and know a little about insulin and glucose and how they work. What is your question?
