ya i hear ya, i tend to buy now the Tuna fish in water rather than in oil
Just the drain the water out b4 i eat it, and ususally tends to take out some of the sodium
it does to some extent. but the meat will intake sodium from sitting i the solution inside the can. like bouncer said, chicken is the better choice. tuna is great protein wise, just the sodium i would worry about.

Well, assuming you arent overly concerned with water retention and your blood pressure has always been perfect, is it really a big deal if you take in a little more sodium than is recommended???

Word. Usually all of my chicken breasts during the day are the frozen 14 pack from Costco and I might have 1 or 2 cans of tuna a day. I dont add salt to much of anything while cooking, but i know that the tuna and frozen chicken in itself probably puts me over 2000 on its own.
The tuna mush that BOUNCER posted a couple years ago and the tuna burgers are badass. Search for them, you wont be sorry. BOUNCER, i have been feeding that to my clients for a couple years now. They love it, bump for a good recipe. Personally my favorite tuna dish grosses everyone out but I take 1 cup (uncooked) brown rice which is about 2 cups cooked with 2 cans tuna and about 1/2 cup "thick and chunky" salsa and mix it all up. Eat with a spoon. Makes your house smell like hell though.

LMAO - it's just oats, applejuice and tuna - it isn't nearly as bad as it sounds - it's quite a treat from chewing and swallowing yet ANOTHER meal when you're bulking....

Try it before you bash it - the apple juice almost kills the taste of the tuna - I don't recommend drinking it any other way than RIGHT after it's come out of the blender though (so no "whipping it out" in class etc)...

O o well...the smell and taste of tuna doesn't bother me, its apple juice that sorta bothers me.
Growing up, my parents never allowed juices in our house becuz of all the sugar in it...for my little brother and I, it was always water or lemonade
I started drinking Cranberry juice and apple juice last year, and i find them both EXTREMELY sweet.
Here is the tuna burgers posted originally by the BOUNCER a couple years ago in case you cant find it. Hope you don't mind me stealing your post BOUNCER, lol
