when i peel them the shell just slides off the whole egg. maybe i am missing something.

I tried the same, I got 1 out of about 7 to actually come out like the video. If you only use water I think the trick is to have it as cold as you can get it, the baking soda will make it extremely easy, as it is a chemical reaction and not just a physical change.Originally posted by The_Grinder View PostTried it this morning with no baking soda. But like Bouncer said, you should be able to peel it fairly quickly if cooked correctly.
If your shells are sticking a lot then they are overcooked.
I place eggs in water, bring to boil, let boil 3-4 min, cover and remove from heat, let sit in the water for 6-9 min.
