So youre putting 4 meals worth of protein, plus carbs plus fat all at once...... why bother with so much all at once? No wonder you feel like shit.Originally posted by dna9488 View Post3 cans tuna fish, 50g whey protein, 1 banana, few strawberry's, few grapes, 1 tablespoon of EVOO
I don't make this shake that often, maybe once or twice a week

I just have a hard time believing solid meals are really that much better.I was always told that , but i cant find a convincing argument. The reason solid meals fill you up longer is because your body is still burning energy trying to digest what you have just eaten. Your body doesnt have to work as hard to break it down with a shake. I cant see how a solid meal with the exact same ingredients can be superior to a shake which will break down faster and be absorbed faster.

lol...I'm sorry do you have training in this area? or something? and try to make a coherent post if you have such a vehement denial to something...its easy to deny...and why would being lactose intolerant have anything to do with what I wrote? I didn't say anything about a "negative" reaction...i was saying that in MY experience I look better when I eat whole foods.Originally posted by NYCmitch25 View Postmaybe your lactose intolerant.

lol, i don't feel like shit, for like 15 i am bloated and than i am fine for about an hour or so...
i add in the fruit and protein for flavor, and the EVOO to slow the digestion down....
Like i said, i don't normally drink this, and only do once or twice a week for a change up.

you are forgetting the fact that our bodies are designed to break down foods. when you take that part away there is definitely a difference. i know exactly what fog is saying. i still use shakes in my meal plan but there is certainly a difference in the way i feel after a shake with oatmeal, PB, etc.. the stomach fills up and you feel slightly bloated but somehow not as satisfied or full compared to a whole food meal.Originally posted by redback View PostYour body doesnt have to work as hard to break it down with a shake. 3 cans of tuna plus 50 grams of whey is just stupid. you might as well just toss 2 cans of tuna right in the garbage. your body is doing nothing with all that protein in 1 sitting.Originally posted by dna9488 View Postlol, i don't feel like shit, for like 15 i am bloated and than i am fine for about an hour or so...

If thats the case, than i might as well just eat regular food....I have experimented and thats where i got to the point of 3 cans of tuna, 50g whey, and fruit...I have done 1 can of tuna, 25g, 1 table spoon evoo, and fruit...that got me hungry in 45min-1hr

even if you are eating the tuna in its "whole food" preperation, 3 cans is 90 grams of protein. your body is only going to use around 40-50 grams of protein per meal. you are eating 140 grams of protein with that meal. lolOriginally posted by dna9488 View PostIf thats the case, than i might as well just eat regular food....I have experimented and thats where i got to the point of 3 cans of tuna, 50g whey, and fruit...I have done 1 can of tuna, 25g, 1 table spoon evoo, and fruit...that got me hungry in 45min-1hr

Control knows what he's talking about from real experience. And he seems to be heavy into eating slightly more (especially protein) than you need just to ge sure. I cant see you needing to modify the diet he helped you with more than a little tweaking here and there after you have been following it exactly for a month or so.Originally posted by dna9488 View Postya i know...what i did was modify it so i can hit it heavy on the protein, guess i went too heavy, and reached the point where my body didn't use much of it.

if control is suggesting 3 cans of tuna plus 50 grams of whey he doesn't know as much as you give him credit for. lolOriginally posted by ROCKILLER View PostControl knows what he's talking about from real experience.
