I usually have a glass of orange juice or ice tea after training to get some sugar. If I am trying to lose fat, should I drop this?

dextrose and maltodextrin are basically higher GI carbs than sugar right? So I was assuming he would have the sugar to facilitate recovery just like one would take a post-workout supp. I don't know if that is a good way to go or not but I do know that I dont use dextrose or malto when cutting.

I always had heard dextrose provides a slight insulin spike POW - so I take it before drinking my shake. Is this misinformation or am I on the right track with this ?Originally posted by ROCKILLER View Postdextrose and maltodextrin are basically higher GI carbs than sugar right? Yes. YOur muscle are depleted of glycogen. The insulin spike rushes the protein and carbs to your muscle refilling some glycogen and starting to heal your muscleOriginally posted by the art of war View Postsorry to repeat this but the reason to take in the dextrose etc ... is for the insulin spike... right ?
