    lol at DNuggets, if your gonna have any sugar I would say PWO is the best time.

    malto is used by most others use dex or waxymaize as a quick release but slow acting energy replacement.

    I prefer malto myself.

    Its funny how things change in bodybuilding, before the whole fats thing the preffered source carbohydrate became complex carbs, but before that Lee Haney used to switch to simple/fruit carb sources as he dieted closer to the show, and he won Mr Olympia 8 times!

      Yep that it does but it also stores fat! I kinda got lost to the OP gluesniffer he wants to shed fat so I would not use malto or any simple sugar. I would go with natural oats also like (alwaysgrowing said earlyer)

      It all depends how strick you wanna get! Most of use are fine with dex or malto. But if you are gonna get on stage then you will have to get crazy. Even sweet tasting stuff like diet coke will spike insulin and diet coke dont even have sugar. So as I said it all depends on your goals and most of us wanna look great but will never go crazy like say big scott. So go ahead and use dex or malto your fine.

        That is why he wants sugar post workout...I would try an apple, then protein shake while walking or doing low intensity elliptical workout for 10 minutes.
