Keto diets are not for everyone. I have never done a pure keto diet. UD2.0 is the closest I have come and I have typically achieved <50g of carbs on that diet but not zero. At any rate, Lyle does not think there's a whole lot of difference practically speaking when you get below 50g of carbs, so trying to hit zero may not be necessary. Regardless, the depletion days on UD2.0 were HARD. Especially when you have a full body depletion workouts on those days - 15+ reps with low weights and 1 minute rest between sets.

Actually feel a bit better, still not quite right when I have to lift heavy but it's tolerable.
I added some organic all natural peanut butter at night, Ketostix still in the mid/high range.
Down three pounds as of this morning.
Only a few days left of our little test, glad it's almost over.

all muscle. :rofl:Originally posted by decadecadeca View PostDown three pounds as of this morning.
worst diet ever. sorry.
that diet is not for anyone into lifting and exercising hard.
that is a useful diet for debbie average american who sits around all day and is 100lbs over weight. for them a bacon burger dipped in grease no bun with a diet coke is a fine diet and they will loose weight.

I think it's mostly water, I've pissed more than ever before and I'm always well hydrated.
I've been very careful with cardio, very low key stuff this week so I wouldn't burn thru any muscle.
And with the metric shit ton of protein and fat I've been eating I don't see how in the fuck I could lose anything else.

no, not in my opinion they don't.Originally posted by Scrumhalf View PostB, I thought keto diets have their place during dieting for a BB show, don't they?
anyone i have ever seen do this type of diet shrinks like a deflated balloon.
you are far better off staying in shape with carbs, protein, and fat year round then to put yourself in a position where you need to drop a bunch of weight and you go on a diet like this. in my opinion it kills the body and the mind.

completely flattens you out and destroys muscle .... take a look at some of palumbos competitors .. by show time they look flat , mass amount of hard earned muscle lost , etc etc .... why do you think evan got away from it .. he looks so much better nowOriginally posted by Scrumhalf View PostB, I thought keto diets have their place during dieting for a BB show, don't they?
