  • Post workout meal

What is the ideal amount of protein to have in your meal post workout (I am talking about after you have your shake)?

I have 8oz of flank steak. Is this too much, too little, or fine?

It's really impossible to answer that question. I weigh 190 currently and I know there are guys on this board that are pushing 300. Our needs as far as portion size are very different.

My bad, in my case i weigh 213lbs. I am just trying to a get rough estimate. I don't want to overshoot it nor do i want to starve my body of protein.

It also depends on your goals and what works for your body. Are you cutting?

When dieting down all my chicken/steak meals were at 7oz. This was dieting for a show so I'm sure I was a lot more strict then you. 8oz seems decent for your size.

I know you have been dieting for a while now. Are your abs in?

No not yet. Waist is going down still, more definition is coming in, vascularity is coming in. Apparently, my jaw is becoming more defined. Noticed more definition in my calves and hamstrings.

Yea i believe. i can eat that much too if not more. But to do that every 3 hours isn't fun.

Not saying its a feat, just saying its a lot of food at one sitting, and to keep doing it every 3 hours doesn't sound amusing to my digestive tract.
