  • Fat Intake - Something Iv'e noticed

All winter I've been eating more healthy fats in the form of avocado. Been having a half with each meal. Weather has been getting nicer so I want to get back into summer ripped mode. Decided yesterday to drop most fats and go back to my famous protein/carb diet.

First thing I noticed is that fats definitely keep you fuller for much longer. Without that avocado in each meal I was starving 2 hours after each meal. The second and main point of all this is that by about 7pm I was in full body sweat mode. I mean just dripping down my back. What the hell could this be? I have never heard anything about low fat intake causing an increase in body temperature.

What keeps me full are carbs, complex ones. My meals are practically protein and little carbs but tons of fiber. That sweat stuff you're talking about, it happens to me as well but never thought of it until you posted. However mine is usually when I eat too many carbs lol....sometimes I eat like 4 servings of oats or rice :D

It sounds more like a hypoglycemia thing.

I've heard the same, but not diabetic either. I've actually been tested for it, nothing. But the sweat issue even happens at night more frequently than I'd like. But Dr's told me I'm not diabetic

You don't have to be diabetic to have a drop in blood sugar. Especially when you have such a high level of lean mass and are metabolizing at such a high rate compared to food intake.

Really? I need to do more reading, thanks man! I've actually been having this issue for about 2yrs now and just sucks when I practically get up about 3 to 4 days a week. Hence why I eat about 3 bananas a day. ...1 in the morning 1 in the mid day and 1 when I get up at night because I'm cold sweats and hungry :)

That's just very high level info but I may be way off. I have just picked up a few thing from my wife since she's been a nurse and is in fnp grad school now and it sounds like something similar to a patient she had that was in for something else.

This is unlikely for me considering my meals are chicken with oats, craisens and honey spaced every 4 hours.

Wasn't shaky or anything like that.
