  • Increase Creatine absorption

I just purchased the book Chemical Muscle Enhancement and according to it you can greatly increase how much creatine is absorbed into your muscles by simply adding salt to it. I mean it makes sense but why have i never heard this from anywhere else? A good idea??

Creatine malate is what he's getting at. Malate is simply a salt or an ester of malic acid. The newer, revolutionary, creatines are creatine malate or a step further, tricreatine malate. This is simply the addition of a salt.

Yes, I thought it was sugar and not salt that aided in the uptake of creatine? Correct?

Sugar helps to increase insulin which will help aid delivery. The salt version helps the absorbtion and stability of the creatine in liquids.

Not that I know of. However ALA and R-ALA will.
