Yep, I can't take anything but Tylenol. No aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve, nothing. And if I have to take an antibiotic or any other meds at all, I have to call the hematologist to make sure they don't counteract, check blood to make sure, etc.

I seriously had no idea how involved this crap would be!

No worries at all. It's a genetic disorder, my father has it as well. I never really thought twice about it until I got a blood clot back in August. If I'd had one or the other (clot or disorder), it wouldn't be as big of a concern. But because of the two, I'm a blood thinner lifer. Like l said, it's a pretty big pain in the butt. Lots of maintenance, no hormones (birth control, HRT when I'm older, etc), and meds every day - which I can't stand!

It's due to a blood clotting disorder. And since I've already had a blood clot too, I'm on medication for life. :hmph:
