the blood pressure thing is really scary. glad you alright bro.Originally posted by rado View Poststill in a great amount of pain. The surgery took about 3 hours. both of the arms were done at the same time and this was a first for my physician. when I got out of the anesthesia I was rushed immediately to the ER hospital because where we were, they were not capable of handling my side effects from the anesthesia. I had blood pressure of over 250 which could lead to an immediate stroke. That's when stuff got pretty scary for me because I didn't know what was going on and didn't want to tell me; but all I knew is I was being rushed like I've never seen to this ER hospital. Blood pressure doesn't run in my family..... They gave me some liquids Let me go with some aspirin ibuprofen acetaminophen.... I neglected the pain medication because I smoke marijuana and believe it or not that helps much better. Only pain medication I did take was gabapentin because I obviously have nerve damage and that medication is really good for nerve damage I've had it in the past. 2 days later after the surgery is really when you feel the pain because my entire body is completely sore like someone dropped me from some top building and I landed on cement concrete.other than that I'm just looking forward to recovery I see the doctor that's coming up Monday and I start physical therapy then.
you almost ended up like Ole Fred..

Actually looks well scabbed and clean, you know how to eat, hydrate and supplement for recovery so I guess it’s gonna be that and rest and very subtle gentle partial movement of the arms to maintain blood flow. I’d recommend fish oils too just keep the blood a tad thinner if your not moving around as much

I'll take some pictures tonight or tomorrow, definitely looks a lot cleaner than those pictures. I'm supplementing vitamin E on the wounds pretty much 24/7. And I got to tell you it definitely works. in regards to movement it's pretty much the same as to where I was injured the biggest issue I'm trying to overcome mentally is the fact that I can't feel my skin where I was caught pretty much. for obvious reason because of the nerves and whatnot of being cut open but my right arm pretty much got half of the arm cut open. The left on which had the most visible damage had the least internal damage. The cut on the left arm is about 9 or 10 inches long not nearly as half of my arm as my right.Originally posted by Mr I View PostActually looks well scabbed and clean, you know how to eat, hydrate and supplement for recovery so I guess it’s gonna be that and rest and very subtle gentle partial movement of the arms to maintain blood flow. i bet if you only put it on 1 side and left the other side alone you wouldn't be able to tell a difference. i could be wrong but I'm not as easily influenced. your the type that reads your morning horoscope... :DOriginally posted by rado View Post
