I have an odd injury and I'm wondering if any of you can shed some light on it for me. The pain comes from behind my knee in the crease of my upper and lower right leg. I experince no pain at all until I bring my knee up in a swift motion. At the top section of the movement I experience tremendous pain and then it goes away when my leg is straightened.
I am not sure how this came about, but I noticed it a few days ago when training Muay Thai and doing some knee strikes. I have since stopped using my right knee until it heals. I can do the rest of my Muay thai workout with out any pain as long as I have no missed kicks and don't use my right knee to strike with.
Is this just a strained muscle or ligament, or is there a name for something like this?
Thanks,
B
