well just as an example my chest routine is two sets total once every 7-10 days. but the individual workouts are not as important as how much total work you do. overtraining means your whole body is in a state of lacking and you need to take a break and back off on your training. maybe a 30 minute workout every 2-3 days. and one body part every other week or 11 days. and your sets should be short (45 seconds to 90 seconds) and taken to failure.

If you really think it is that then I'll just take a break, starting now. :( I can't believe that every 7 days is to frequent to work the musle.

sounds like your expectations are too high... you shouldnt really see progress in strength every week.

there are a lot of misconceptions on how often a muscle needs to be worked out as well as the body. just for an example I don't lose any strength if I stop training for a month.

My progress went down. Then plateaued, I was hoping it would get back to where I was. Is that too much to ask?
