  • Slow twitch vs fast twitch fibers

I'm trying out Stonecold's less volume/high intensity workout theory for a comparison of gains against the traditional stlye of 8-10 rep w/3 sets for each bodypart. I have overtrained in the past and believe that it has cost me in gains. I did find success with HST but I want something different now. I think that there is validity to the less volume/high intensity workout plan and want to male the most of it.

From my understanding, people have various combinations of st and ft muscle fibers in their bodies. How can you tell what your makeup is on certain muscle groups? I ask because I'm trying to find out the best rep/cadence scheme for my workouts.

edit: Sorry, I thought I was posting this in the training section :moron:

I moved it for you. I am eating dinner right now but I will give you two methods to give you a general idea of what your makeup is. Just give me a couple hours and I will type it up for you.
