      I mean that the abs underneath the fat will have a more muscular look once the BF is cut if u do crunches, they just won't stick out.... u can't tell me that not doing jack for your abs and cutting the fat is going to look as good as doing the crunches and then cutting the fat. STRESS : I'm not saying that doing crunches will cut the fat for you.... never did

        i want to stress that we need to try to remove the word "tone" from our vocabulary. if i hear one more girl or even guy say "i don't wanna lift weights, i just wanna get toned" i'm gonna kill someone.

        the only way to achieve the "tone" is to shed fat and build muscle. you told him crunches will tone abs which leads to a generality that crunches may help with "spot reduction" another myth i'd like to kill with a jackhammer. this is no true and the point i want to get across to him.

              This is how i feel. If i dont work out my abominals every day then i feel that the weight im loosing it make my stomache like mush. I dont know thats why im asking you guys this. I dont want them to stick out. I just want a little definition when my BF layer comes off im dieting and doing cardio for it but im just wondering if doing that every day will help define help while my bf is comming off so when it does i do have something there n not just a flat stomache with no definition in it. thats all. Im no big body lifter looking for abs that look like fucking rocks I just want something then a stomache right now. And to answer the person who said wtf am i doing in 25 mins. I like to have excercises that target 1 area at a time lower mid or upper. I do cross knees reverse crunches leg raises etc. I do sets of those each I also do some stretching excercises for my waist or love handles although im not having so much of them any more which is awesome. So its prolly 18mins more like it. I just wanted the original question and not a friggin debate though. Will doing every day be helpful in getting just some definition. Ofcourse if i wanted big rock hard abs id either do every other day or do it 2 times a week spaced out with weighted. Thx...

                    debate is what brings knowledge out. My whole point is this and I mentioned this before: Either people want to lose bodyfat or they want to gain muscle. There are no other mediums of exercise (toning, hardening, getting ripped, Etc...) If your abs are feeling mushy then I will bet my left leg that you are overtraining. that mushy feeling is from a glyogen depeltion. you are never giving them a chance to replenish their stores or recover as a whole. not to mention that every workout you do will act as a negative towards recovery of your other muscle groups (general adaptive syndrome). also remember that some people just don't have good genetics for developing nice abs. most peoples ab walls are not perfectly shaped like the "fitness models". and one more thing don't worry about doing different types of exercises for abs. they are a wall and not separate muscles. just pick two and do a few sets.

                      well im thinking i will just do them at the gym. I just want to give them some type of w/o will doing 3 sets of 10 weighted be enuff? and if i dont feel it too much i should increase weight? What are some excercises i can do / offered at most gyms ? I mean i might as well be doing them there if im at the gym i wanna get everything knocked off at the gym so i dont have to come home n do anything. I kno this isnt too much apart of the post but im going to have 3 cardio days not going to the gym. Then 4 gym days which will have of them being abs the first and the 4th day should i be doing some cardio those days too ? i dont wanna do alot tho and burn off too many calories because i need those for lifting im on a calorie restriction so is 20 mins to much ? Or should i just knock it out all together due to the prediciment im in?
