  • Twitching muscles...

I occasionally get a muscle somewhere that twitches repeatedly and quickly...sort of like a really big vibrattion, or like the way your muscle moves when you have the physio stim on it...

Is this indicitive of anything? Am I missing something in my diet, or am I overtraining that muscle? Today it was my left side delt, the very front of it, that wouldn't stop for about an hour...it doens't hurt, but it does feel weird.

    Thanks everyone in advance.

I would also like to know the answer to this, it happens quite often to me, mostly in my legs, sometimes my abs do it too.

Shoulders and arms for me - I'll look for some answers and see what I can find.

I've never even thought about finding an answer to this - good question. However, I assume it is perfectly harmless as long as it is not constant 24-7.

This happens to me when I'm on a ECA stack, no other time.

i am on an eca stack, but i get the twitches all the time...it can be pretty distracting sometimes, as well as annoying to my gf who has to sleep beside me...

The paranoid, unknowledgable part of me wondered if it might have something to do with electrolytes or something along those lines...

9 times out of 10 this is due to a depletion of potassium... caffeine is a diuretic and can cause the excess secretion of potassium, thus causing spasms in the muscle bellies.....

so is this something i should try and address though suplementation, or just another bannana or two? I usually try and avoid bannanas as they are so high glycemic and taste like ass :D

You can get a potassium supplement... or you can eat an apple, apples contain just as much or more potassium than a banana.

Makes sense...but I use Gatorade powder in my PWO shake...seems like that would help some........
I use enough powder to get me 60 mg of carbs (100 if I'm running slin) plus 60 gm whey, 10 gm creatine...

I have never used an ECA stack nor do I drink or consume caffiene. Is there another answer for this YJ? I get mine in my bicep, tricep, delt, forearm and sometimes on my lat. I get it like once every 3wks or so. But when I am on aas I notice it more often.
