well im sure you feel better about yourself which is very beneficial. im not sure if you have posted your diet or your goals but if you havent you should do that and let everyone take a pick at it. its most likely your diet that would be the problem if your training correctly.
I think it depends a lot on where you started from. It took me a while to visibly see much because all that muscle I was building was taking the place of the fat I was burning off. Now that I am at a healthier body fat percentage I can actually notice gains and I am gaining weight on the scale steadily.
unless you're a girl (no offense) under 1500 cal might even be too low for cutting...try 10% less than your "normal" caloric intake, where you maintain weight...so if you maintain weight at 2000, diet at 1800 (2000-200). Too much more and you'll enter starvation mode (called: "starvation effect")
