the way you responded above showed that you didn't get what we were talking about. we were talking about how fun it was when we first started lifting in high school and ate ate everything in site to get big. we didnt count cals, weigh food etc..

you never got into it for those reasons. thats why i said better for you to be strict, you got into it because you were fat, etc... is that not true?

I saw the  and thought, "good, he read the sarcasm in my post.". As I read on I thought. "either, I'm really bad at sarcasm or he's a dumb monkey."

That being said, I got into it because Ive always admired Arnold and team sports never really included me. My momeecuded that I was spending too much time tinkering with stuff and told me I had to start a sport(as a senior in HS). Moderate success with lifting lead to great interest, but yo-yo success lead to a moderate interest. After I lost my job during the summer following bear sterns collapse, while I was volunteering, I fell in love with bb. Read what j could, etc.

So, yes I guess I did get into it to lose weight, but I would gladly have gotten into it for the reasons you did. All I was tryingto say with my first post was, everyones not the same. Some of us just have to be more diligent.

I started to try and get more chics after high school. I was pretty skinny growing up playing soccer. Problem is I was still too shy which pretty much meant I didn't have the game to get the girls I liked. I was a quality over quantity guy. Well the further out of high school I got, the more it gave me a uniqueness in comparison to the majority that I identified with. As I got older and more people around me where getting fatter, I couldn't stand the thought of ending up like that one day. Now having kids it's all about staying very healthy and active to be part of their lives. So deep down it has always been in my nature, but the nurture reasons have changed.
