  • Training and Work

Currently, I am running a 4 split routine- its working nicely. My current job is very sedentary, so I don’t have to worry about draining myself or over use injuries. However, in month, I am picking up a second job working volume at a fab shop.

At the factory, my job consists of 8hrs of moving two 40 lb wheels (one in each arm). I take them off the dock and put them on a skid a few feet away. The motion is like a curl and a squat. I subed for a friend on fri and my biceps and legs are still sore today.

    My concern is overtraining.

How should I adjust my routine to accommodate lifting and working hard?

just cut back your training to 2 days a week and shorten your workouts. then gradually add small increments of volume to your workouts and an extra day. just make sure you keep track of your progress and make sure you aren't regressing.

good info sc54. you can still hit the muscles you dont use everyday and do 3-4 sets only for the muscles you do instead of 12-14.
